Founder and CEO

I volunteering at senior centers to help teach the elderly about technology (phones, laptops, etc). When my brother was in high school, he was involved in another student’s club that had a similar focus, formally called Teach Seniors Technology which he eventually became president of. Even though I was just in middle school,  I would often accompany him to senior homes, churches, and temples to teach seniors how to use their electronic devices. Helping these seniors would remind me of my grandparents thousands of miles away as I got to share a familial bond with the seniors I helped out. Unfortunately, the organization shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but I still felt the need that seniors felt from being inaccessible to technology especially with the pandemic, isolation made loneliness for them even worse and technology could be that medium of entertainment they took part in. With this in mind, I thought to restart the effort, at least locally as much as I could. Currently, I run this program at 9 senior center locations and have helped over 150 seniors in the Bay Area. One session in particular that stuck with me was when I helped a blind senior center set up his iPhone with new accessibility features. At the end of the session, he told me how grateful he was for my help because no one else had helped him out with this issue before. Teaching seniors about technology has been a passion of mine for a very long time, and I’m continuously motivated by their smiles of joy when they get their technology working.
